Teplice, the city with an abundant history and
world-famous spa; the life-teeming city of business, entertainment and culture; a city full of parks, fountains, cafes, and popular restaurants; the place sometimes called "Little Paris."
The city of Teplice is situated in the beautiful countryside between the Bohemian Middle Mountains and the mass of "Krusne hory" (the Iron Mountains) close to the German border.
The discovery of the hot remedial springs dates back to the year of 762. The subsequent development for the utilization and exploitation of this crystal water ranks Teplice among the oldest spas in Europe. Its wide-ranging fame is evidenced by the fact that many famous personages frequented the city of Teplice to treat themselves in its water including Goethe, Beethoven, Chopin, and Liszt.
The Culture House, cinema, and summer cinema also offer fantastic cultural opportunities. Furthermore, Teplice is the seat of the North Bohemia Philharmonic Orchestra which enriches cultural life year-round including outdoor concerts in the Spa Park during the summer season.
Teplice and its surroundings offer the beauty of its natural and historical sights,the tranquility of its parks, and interesting Empire-and Secession-styled buildings. The city boasts its famous sculpture in Chateau Square, the Plague Pillar, by Matyas Braun in 1718, which also attracts many visitors.
The city of Teplice is also world renown for its traditional production of high-quality glass and ceramics. The "Krusne"Mountains and the Bohemian Middle Mountains offer terrific opportunities to explore the Czech countryside and engage in various types of outdoor sport. Many beautiful ponds and lakes grace the landscape providing a refreshing break from summertime heat. During the winter you can enjoy downhill ski slopes and cross-country ski trails in the nearby mountains. The exquisite views from "Doubravsky"Hill, the "Boren"rock formation, "Milesovka" Mountain, or "Komari vizka" Mountain with its funicular list themselves among the unforgettable experiences of visitors to Teplice.
Today,Teplice is the city of greenery and fountains, where every visitor - even the most critical - can find peace to enjoy Aqua centre Modern sport center built in 1996 which offers a wide range of use including a pool, a wading pool, a waterslide, a sauna, squash, a bodybuilding centre, solar rooms and a restaurant. There is also a high capacity car park.

As with the other Teplice Spa buildings, the Kamenne Spa mainly focuses on treating afflictions of the locomotive organs. For the maximum effects of the spa treatments above all are used thermal baths and motion therapy in thermal waters. Supplementary forms of treatment are hydrotherapy, electrotherapy, magnetotherapy, laser therapy, gas injections, thermal water procedures, therapeutic massages or through whirlpool and carbonic baths, including eddy waters.

The Beethoven spa building is a part of the historical heart of the city. It originated through a sensitive, architectonic joining of the different, original spa buildings. It is located in a peaceful area of Teplice, surrounded by an extensive park. The Beethoven Spa Building is above all specialized in the treatment of the motor system, post-traumatic conditions and damage to veins, nerves, bones and tendons.
