Spindleruv Mlyn is situated in a picturesque valley at the source of the Labe River at an attitude 715-1310m above the sea level.It is the most visited holiday resort of the highest Czech mountains--the Krkonose Mts. The ski-area
Spindleruv Mlyn is the best known centre of winter-sports in the Czech Republic. In winter it offers ideal condition for downhill skiing and 40 km of trimmed tracks for ski runners. To the peak Plan, to the start of 3 downhill tracks you will be taken by funiculars and a ski lift with total capacity of 5590 persons in a hour. On the end of the downhill tracks there is a self-service restaurant, a ski service, a rental and a left-outfit room at your disposal. The peak Medvedin may be reached by a funicular und ski lifts with total capacity of 7380 persons in a hour. It is also an ideal starting point when going to the cross-country centre in Horni Misecky. You can find accommodation in St. Peter or in the Misecky-chalets.
Many of you may welcome the opportunity of accommodation and board directly in the ski-centre. There are fast-food stands at the end of the tracks and a self-service restaurant in St. Peter resort.
Night skiing
in Hromovka area, the total length 1100 m can be covered by artifical snow. Lighting 20-100 LUX ensures first-rate skiing for public and races FIS too. The reconstruction of downhill route Hromovka including construction of artifical snow, lighting and sounding was made during the year 2002. Night skiing for the visitors of area Horni Misecky and surroundings is in training field long 300 m.
Ski school
Czech Republic's largest ski school offering complete services: lessons, ski rentals, and tow tickets, plus preferential treatment on all means of transportation. These services are available in Svaty Petr, Medvedin, Horní Misecky, and, of course, in Spindleruv Mlyn and all major hotels in this area.

Pec pod Snezkou
Pec pod Snezkou is not only known as a starting point for the climbing route to Snezka, the highest mountain in the Czech Republic, but also as an active alpine resort, open both in the summer and winter. Pec pod Snezkou benefits from its geographic position and its altitude (800 - 1602 m above sea level). Over 5 to 6 months of the year it is covered with snow. The weather conditions, similar to those near the polar circle, are often surprising to visitors of Pec pod Sněžkou. In the steep-sided valley below the Sněžka complex, services ranging from a cableway, ski lifts, hotels, lodging houses, swimming pools, discos and restaurants in the town centre and near the ski slopes all are provided.
The ski resort, which is the largest in area, operating 1 four chair lift and 10 ski lifts with a transport capacity of 9630 persons/hour and around 9 km of downhill slopes of varying degrees of difficulty. The downhill slopes are particularly popular with families and children because of the wide range of choices, with range from training meadows to challenging runs.
In the evening hours, 3 ski lifts with artificial lighting are in operation-one of which is Javor, the longest and best illuminated downhill slope in the Czech Republic. Visitors are provided access to all places in the resort by means of a single magnetic card. For snowboarding enthusiasts, a large fun park is available season-long. Cross-country skiers (langlaufers) can make use of the Giant Mountain main track, which is kept in perfect conditions by constant grooming.

Winter sports in Harrachov
Harrachov is mainly the centre of winter sports and recreation. On the shoulder of Certova hora there have been built several downhill courses, vary from easy to difficult, there are several ski jumps including the mammoth one and cross country race trails. Downhill courses, that are managed by Sports area Harrachov a.s., are equipped with modern system of artificial snow that enables to go skiing up to 5 months a year. There are also several cross-country rails that are marked as the ones for tourist's use and there is also large cross-country race trail. Harrachov as one of the few Krkonose's winter resorts enables to go snowboarding on all downhill courses and they can use all cableways and ski lifts.
Directly in Harrachov you can find several ski schools that have had wide experience with training in downhill or cross-country skiing.
The ones who come to Harrachov without skis can visit several ski rentals that offer more than 6000 pairs of skis in total and you also have a possibility to have a complete service done concerning ski equipment. In Harrachov important winter sports championships take place. The main competitions are annual important ski jump championships including the ones that are part of World Cup or even World Championship.
