History
The history of Trebon dates back to the 12th century. The town was always in the hands of families who played significant roles in the Czech kingdom - first the Vitkovci family, later the Rosenbergs and the Schwarzenbergs. Trebon is enlisted in the UNESCO list of protected historical monuments and natural reservations. The square, naturally in the town centre, is surrounded by historically interesting burgher houses famous for their fine Renaissance and Baroque gables.
SPORT AND TOURISM
Hiking
For hikers, there is an easy trail around the surroundings of Trebon. This is clearly defined by typical tourist marks and guides the visitors to the most interesting sites in the region. The instructional Trail Around the Svet (World) fishpond, which is 12 km long and forms a loop around the pond, is situated on the southwest edge of Trebon. In the present time of mountain bikes, the Trebon region literally becomes a paradise for many tourists in the summer, as the terrain is suitable for all levels of efficiency. The Trebon region attracts a lot of water sport fans due to its fishponds and the River LuInice. The River LuInice, in particular, is a favourite sport for canoeists.
Tennis
There are six tennis courts at your disposal near the Svet pond beach.
Lovers of horse riding will surely be pleased by a ride along the wooded paths and dikes of the fishponds.

Trebon is a well-known spa town. There are two spa houses in the town:
The recently refurbished Bertiny lazne (Berta spa), immediately adjoining the town ’s center, is smaller and has a private atmosphere. Lazne Aurora (Aurora spa) is situated at the outskirts of Trebon, the middle of a large park and near the Svet pond. Its visitors may also enjoy outdoor activities.
